Rai Radio Classica is Italian public radio station owned by Rai. The station broadcasts music related to classical and jazz programmings.

Rai Radio Classica broadcasts 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, classical, symphonic, lyric and chamber music. The numerous columns, divided by time slots, are mainly focused on so-called "cultured" music, but for some time now has widened its range of investigation towards other types of artistic expression, such as jazz, soundtracks, poetry, comedy music and ethnic music.
The schedule of Rai Radio Classica, in addition to being available online, can be found (even if in summary form) on page 536 of Rai 1 and Rai 2 teletext. Starting from June 29, 2008, all newsletter subscribers every Tuesday, the links to download the daily schedule of Rai Radio Classica in printable PDF format, in the form in which it was published by the weekly magazines as Radiocorriere TV before it ceased its diffusion in newsstands. In 2017 the newsletter service has been suspended and the detailed schedule is only accessible via the official website of the issuer.
A "unique" and unmistakable aspect of Rai Radio Classica are the "announcements", which have always been particularly taken care of both in the text and in the diction, still carefully edited to comply with DOP - Dizionario di Ortografia e Pronunzia, which has been for decades the mandatory reference text for all those in Rai who spoke on the microphone.
Rai Radio Classica is managed by the director of Canali di Pubblica Utilità Rai; artistic planning has been curated for many years by Maestro Massimo di Pinto, successor to Maestro Vittorio Bonolis and Fabrizio Centamori (historical director of Isoradio) and production and transmission are organized by Rai Radio Production Company in Rome.
From 7 November 2013, the night-time program schedule (from midnight to 2 am) was reserved for Euroclassic Notturno which took the place of the traditional high-night broadcast. This program, commissioned by European Broadcasting Union and produced by the BBC, offers the listening of recordings from the archives of the European Union radio stations participating in this initiative and which are not commercially available. This program was subsequently deleted.
In 2014, Rai announced that Rai Radio FD 5 would change its name to Rai Radio 5 Classica, which took place the following year.
From 6 August 2015 it is renamed on mux 2 in Rai Radio 5 Classica. Until September 2017, the channel was broadcast in simulcast and in stereo on FM by Rai Radio 3, generally from 02:00 at night and until 06:00 in the morning.
From 12 June 2017, the channel becomes Rai Radio Classica, incorporating part of the programming of Rai Radio 8 Opera, issuer that ends its transmissions.
